Rewatching for the first time since 2011. I forgot how big this game was at the time. Both teams are hitting hard. Can't wait to see Bama tears. Have to give Bama credit they are LSU loud for this game.

That was a great game but I just got tired of watching espn top 25 games. I really wanted to see the lsu Uga 03 game but couldn't find it.

Hit the wayback...let's suppose the outcome was reversed (LSU loses in OT 9-6). LSU then goes on to win out, and does not go to the SECCG because Alabama won the west.

Answer - frick no. Alabama/Saban would be using every bit of juice it/he had to keep that from happening, and it would not have.

If only Randle had caught that td on the goal line, or if Jefferson had lead Shep correctly on that busted play. That year wold have ended very differently.

No way of knowing that. BAMA got the rematch and put an exclamation point on the end of the argument with a 21-0 butt kicking that created distance between the two programs that we have still not closed to this day. Not sure why people still belly ache about the rematch. If you are the better team in Tuscaloosa during the season, then you should be the better team in Jan coming off a months rest at a "neutral" site 87 Miles from your campus. End of story. We had a "do over" in 07' after choking against Arkansas at home to end the season. We took full advantage and won the NC game. Let it go and hope Les has assembled enough talent and coaching expertise to go along with his program leader skills to reach the summit again!!

Good post I agree they were the best team. BCS got it right. I do miss honey badger in a Lsu uni though.

We only got a "do over" because every one else lost too. Bama lost at home in the last half of the year and still jumped two other one loss teams that were conference champs. Not the same thing.
