Nola just pitched Friday. Bringing him back on 4 days Wednesday would be the same as Vandy throwing Beede on 4 days Tuesday.

He did. Throwing him Wednesday means 5 days rest/off. Normally, pitchers get 6. Throw him Thursday, and he stays Thursday, much like we did Nola last year. This year, we don't have that benefit. We're throwing Nola Thursday so he has short rest this week and normal next.

That's not how it works. When people talk about days rest you don't count either day he pitches.
