FYI - Miles isnt limiting Cam Cameron, they're joined at the hip.

Yahoo Sports article right after CC's firing from the Ravens:

quote:

At times, Cameron seemed to be living in a long-gone time when receiver distribution and location (to use a favorite phrase of our friend Greg Cosell) wasn't as important as it is now. In 2011, the Ravens ranked 30th in offensive formations of three receivers, setting up that way just 28 percent of the time. Cameron's insistence on sending his receivers on isolation routes, essentially forcing his players to beat coverage without the advantages provided by formation diversity, gave the Ravens' offense a handicap

Sound Familiar?

When we hired Cameron, I wasn't happy. I thought he was awful in Baltimore. Then, we improved and I thought to myself, "Wow. He was a great hire after all."

Now, I don't know what to think. I don't know if we can really blame him, though. It all starts up front, and our O-line sucks arse.

We definitely have the talent to line up with multiple WR formations.

I still doubt Cameron would want to run the ball 4 straight times inside the 2 yard line.

Exactly my thoughts. I don't want him fired (or Miles) but it will be interesting to see if any tweaks are made or if we keep trying the square peg/ round hole approach.

It could be that the QB was limited in his in his ability or understanding of the playbook.

Baltimore fans were upset with Cameron because they thought he abandoned the run too often. They wanted to feed Ray Rice.

And somehow, Rice got worse as a player after Cameron left.

Ironically, the article says the opposite. Says he started to spread out some and it was working better then he reverted back to tight formations and hence is demise.

I think if all comes down to trust in the quarterback. He unlocked something in Mett - the light just came on and came on bright.

I think we may have seen the first flickers from Harris...

The complaint was rice was only getting 16 carries a game

After cam left you know how many carries rice averaged a game?

Cautiously optimistic that this is true.
