The new Braves digs will be a logistical nightmare. With that location, traffic will be horrible.

Besides being in Alabama, are there any other issues with the stadium in Hoover? Is it showing it's age? Hard to get to? Parking? Concessions?

1st time to see it. Not a bad seat in the house. RV guys love it. Tailgaters have their space.
This is the first time they had to implement overflow parking. (Park at near by school).
No large city park would have the RV park near by.
Hate the drive, but once your here not bad.

I like Pensacola out of the ones in my last post. You could rotate it to a minor league stadium nearest each team (AA minimum). It would look like this
Alabama - Regions Field (Birmingham)
Arkansas- Arvest Park (Springdale)
LSU- Zephyr Stadium (New Orleans)
Miss St- Trustmark Park (Jackson)
Missouri-Hammons Field (Springfield)
Ole Miss- Autozone Park (Memphis)
Texas A&M- Dell Diamond (Round Rock)
Auburn- Riverwalk Stadium (Montgomery)
Florida- Baseball Grounds (Jacksonville)
Georgia- Coolray Field (Gwinnett)
Kentucky- Louisville Slugger Field (Louisville)
South Carolina- BB&T Ballpark (Charlotte, NC)
Tennessee- Smokies Stadium (Kodak)
Vanderbilt- First Tennessee Park (Nashville)

That P'cola stadiun would be legit. Perfect for the family: early summer weather, beach adjacent, solid week of baseball, & looks like a cool outdoor concert venue beyond center field for between/after games...

Just hate that it happens to be in Bama.
Funny part is that no Alabama teams will even be in it ....in about 20 min.

No shade and not nearly enough capacity. Only 5k.

WTF! It's one of the few ballparks I've been to that are nicer than The Box...
Although it's slightly smaller seating wise than The Box at 9,500 seats, they are all chair-backs. And look at that berm....a lot of LSU fans would kill for that at home.

Parking would be tight aside from that lot/ field in the upper left of the picture which is about the size of the hayfield lot at LSU, assuming nothing has been built there. Plenty of tailgate room, a splash pad for the kids. Concert area, with plenty of hotel/condos and restaurants. It seems like a legitimate contender if they were to ask me.

No shade is a major drawback. As for the seating capacity, the average is around 7k for a tourney game? So if they threw up some bleachers in the outfield they could easily get the extra 2,000 seats.

Yes, tight parking but with modern advances such as shuttles, Uber, & Lyft-things could be done with some common sense & pre-planning.
Also, extra seating could easily be added on top of the previously mentioned 5000 by another poster.
Pensacola is run by non-morons, so I could really see them pulling off a great week long event.

I can guarantee you it won't be in Metairie at Zephyrs Field. That place is a dump.

I agree. I got the chance to play here back in 2002. We played in a tourney during the NFL training camps. The defending champ, Tampa bay Bucs, were doing theirs at Disney. Got to meet Alstott, Sapp, and Keyshawn. Also got to take pics with the cheerleaders... That was before I had a digital camera, so sorry guys, no pics will be uploaded.

Not sure what you are getting at. I would be perfectly happy sitting in the sun on some bleachers, near the water, watching baseball, with the possibility of an adult beverage in my hand. I'm a Cubs fan, so the bleachers are my kind of place.
