After Katrina and ASU game got moved the deal was that LSU and ASU would schedule another home and home at some point in time. I think it does happen unless neutral site money talks, by then neutral site games will command a pretty penny with TV deals in play.

OU was pushed back because of LSU wanting neutral site games and once Notre Dame backed out on Texas that game came up.

I read somewhere (though I cannot find it now) that one of the reasons the OU home & home series was canceled then rescheduled had to do with conference expansion/realignment and the Big XII adding an extra conference game-- forcing them to cancel and reschedule all of their non-conference opponents. Then we got bumped by UCLA.

We apparently rescheduled Oklahoma to 2027.

This is why looking at future schedules is pretty useless. The chances that the games listed will actually be played isn't very high.

Sorry, i just found it interesting to possibly be playing some big name OOC games in the near future. Fun to think about and to see that is on our schedule means that it is somewhat possible.

Also, in addition to OU which has disappeared from the future schedules, I thought I remembered from somewhere that we had lined up a home and home with N.C. State, but that seems to be off the list, too. Ah well. When we get within a couple of years of the first game of a home and home is when I'll actually start thinking it's likely to be played. These games out into the 2020s are fun to read and think about, but having them scheduled now doesn't mean much.

I understand. Wasn't trying to criticize you. It is fun to think about these games being played, but past history suggests we shouldn't get our hopes up too high when the games are scheduled this far out. When we get within a couple of years of the first scheduled game of a home and home, then it starts to get a little more reliable. The ones 8-10 years away are far less certain.
