Email I just received:

quote:

We're sorry that this event was cancelled. But we'll make sure you get a refund of the total amount paid, including shipping and any fees. (Remember, all purchases on StubHub are covered by our FanProtectTM Guarantee.) Your refund will appear on your statement as a credit from StubHub Tickets. Please give us 7 business days to process your refund. If your payment method hasn't been charged, we'll release the authorization.

just wondering, how much did you spend on tickets to a McNeese St. game? j/w....also that you felt like you had to buy it via stubhub and not just snag what you needed outside the stadium...

You must have been desperate to go to stub hub for McNeese St. tickets

I had 2 extra tickets and couldn't give the damn things away

Some guy tried to sell me tickets for $60 a piece. They were lower bowl but not amazing seats. I laughed at him.

I live in Atlanta and came in for a wedding on Friday. I took my family of four to the game so while I paid more for the tickets than I would have in my younger days, I wanted to make sure I had tickets in hand and good seats. One day you will learn that you tend to gamble less with things like this when kids are involved.

My son did the same thing. He bought off Stub Hub to make sure he had tickets in hand driving from Florida.

Exactly! When taking kids in and when you get to go to one or two games a year, you optimize the experience and try to minimize game day risk.

Hell, I spent a few hundred bucks on stub hub for the Western KY game, just to make sure I have 3 good seats next to each other for my 2 oldest kids first game (Traveling in)

Why is there such a stigma against buying on Stubhub? I bought my tickets there because I didn't want the hassle of tracking down someone to sell me tickets on gameday. I needed three seats together, and I wanted to pick my seat. I'll pay more for that.

As it happened, my decision to buy was pretty smart. Now I'm getting a FULL refund for the tickets because the game was cancelled. If I had bought outside the stadium, I would be SOL.

I will never buy from Stubhub again because of how they jack up the prices. I bought tickets for saturday (first time using stub) and paid double the face value. Not only did they mark-up face value of each ticket, but tacked on an additional fee at check out. I was not aware thats how they operated (shame on me for not researching more). I will gladly take my refund from these jacklegs.

I was looking for a ticket in the West Upper for someone, because that's where I was sitting. After searching for about 30 minutes I found one in the south endzone, in the area some other people I knew were sitting, just incase. Spent $30 on the ticket, but just got it for security. I continued searching and in that time was handed two tickets together in the North endzone. So I was holding 3 tickets for $30. I continued looking for a ticket in the west upper and finally found a lady selling one for $10. I bought the ticket, so I now had 4 tickets for $40. A scalper approached me and paid $40 for the two north and one south end zone ticket. Ended up walking in for free. And I am willing to bet the scalper did not make his money back on the tickets he bought from me. I win!!!!

some people like to simply walk into the game without walking around the stadium like a crackhead beggar trying to get last minute cheap tickets. Its a hustle game. Some of us with jobs just rather do it that way

eta: stub hub 2 hours before kickoff is a gem. you can download the tickets to your phone and have it scanned at the gate that way. thats my go-to method of scoring pelicans tickets

You clearly have no idea how stubhub works.

The person selling the tickets uses stubhub as the middleman between himself and the potential buyer. Stubhub takes a cut from the seller end and the buyer end. I still don't understand how it's exactly legal...

Someone actually bought a pair of mine for $50 each. Guess it was too good to be true in the end.

Here's a good one:

We sold two of our four season tickets on eBay a couple of weeks ago. They were purchased, I suspect by a broker, who then decided to sell individual game tickets on StubHub (we know he sold them on StubHub because the two seats we kept are right next to these seats, AND we met the couple that purchased them at the game). He has no idea that we have the two seats next to the season tickets he purchased, so he e-mails my wife's eBay account this morning, asking for HIS SHARE of the refund. He even goes so far as to attach TAF fees to his requested refund amount.

The only ones that are out any money are the guy and his wife that attended the game. And StubHub is reimbursing them, apparently.

I am now welcoming all responses to this broker, because I am speechless. Thank you.
