I don't like all of these high expectations. I prefer to play the underdog role

Yeah.. It would be totally unfair to keep them out when their one loss was on the road vs us.

Why? Under Miles, when LSU is highly (top 5) ranked to begin the season they usually finish the season living up to those expectations:

2005

Preseason 5/6
Final rank 5/6

2007

Preseason 2
Final rank 1

2011

Preseason 4
Final rank 2

The only real "miss" is 2012. And even that team finished 10-2 with two very close losses to UF and Bama.

The last 3 years LSU was ranked outside the top-10 to start the season. They finished those seasons outside the top 10. Give me the great team and the great expectations any day over the good team with minimal real expectations.

LSU has long relinquished the "underdog" role. They are thought of as a college football powerhouse even in the years they haven't been that great. Accept the expectations of being one of the best teams in the country and go out and prove it!

I have heard several scenarios in which LSU gets in with a loss as well, to be fair.

But I agree. They always get a pass.

Why?? So its easier to justify any bed-shitting that might occur. No way son. We can wear the bulls-eye this year for once. We need to start balls-out-azz-kicking-take-no-prisoners from the get go.

TCU winning Big XII over OU is interesting. TCU will have an unproven QB and lost a good bit.

I understand the high expectations for LSU on paper, now they have to deliver on the field.

I sure as hell hope so. (You do know the Peach bowl is a playoff game this year right?)
