Freeman never wins the championship at Notre Dame… Nor will anyone else for that matter.

Notre Dame is a laughing stock who gets curb stomped at seasons end by teams that actually deserve to be in the top 10. He took a payday grab nothing more.

That is common knowledge, no need to post it to make yourself feel better about the situation. Notre Dame will go back to its shitty independent schedule and make the playoffs with nothing to show for it but a blowout loss.

He's only staying 2 yrs max. Doubt he cares too much about that as long as they play well enough to move him up the ladder

Correct. Norte Dame is safe. They have no chance of ever winning a NC but everything else makes them a great job

LSU is not winning a NC anytime soon, either. The administration and enough fans think LSU can continue to promote position coaches who have either no experience or negative experience as a coordinator, because "why not?"

LSU is willing to pay about $2M/yr for an OC. They couldn't get a guy to come by even tripling his salary and they seem at a loss as to what to do next.

To outsiders, Notre Dame is not looking too bad in comparison.

Get over freeman. Its not a big deal. And he isn’t going to ND to win a title. He is going there to have easy wins and an easy path to a HC gig

Nah he’s a very good coach. But the talent required to win a championship in college won’t qualify or have any interest in Notre Dame. This might be the best Norte Dame team Kelly had had any they got embarrassed by Bama and Clemson with TL at QB. It’s a higher profile better paying Cincinnati job for Freeman. He’ll be there 1-2 years.

Do you believe prior to BCS era (1998) college football had a better setup for determining a champion? Because that would be nonsense.

They played Alabama closer and better than LSU.
