Freeman and Duplantis are lethal. They should be leadoff and second batter, either order. Freeman has great speed and hitting ability. He loses one a bat per game batting 9th. Just my two cents.

It has worked plenty of times this season when he gets on, then you have to deal with Duplantis. Good strategy, IMO.

Some coaches like a "second lead off batter" there. Whatever. He gets more fastballs there

Most baseball minds know that your nine hole is your second best lead off guy. Duolantis is better but freeman gets on and now AD is your two hole and fraley three. You can't make a better lineup than having those three guys in a row.

Your right, it's not broke. But it could be even better if Freeman was was one of our first two hitters. With he and Duplantis batting 1&2. Freeman has earned it.

One of your best hitters bats 9th. One less at bat every game. A guy that is clutch. With speed. Are you guys stupid or what?

If he does so great batting 9th. How much more could he do at the front of the line.

I agree he should be lead off. He's the best pure lead off hitter we've had in a long time. ... And we bat him last

I think they put him at 1 or 2 for a couple of games earlier in the season. Didn't do as well. Doesn't mean he can't perform there but again u do get different pitches at that spot. Regardless, fun player to watch

No, it's called baseball strategy. I could see moving Freeman to the 6 hole, but again, this lineup is clicking so why would you change that?

Freeman at 9 makes for 2 leadoff guys. It is by design that way.

I've been saying this all year about Freeman. But he's doing great in the nine hole, fast as all get out on the bases.
