What do y'all say? Let Chicago fire him and get him to Baton Rouge? Will Alleva wait that long?

Hoiberg is probably my favorite coach, but I don't see this pipe dream happening whatsoever.

If the Bulls keep assing around like today, you may not have to wait that long. Already has players calling him out.

Lol. If Fred is fired and wants to return to the college game LSU can have Prohm and Fred can come home. There would be parades in his honor.

He hired a football coach two days after our regular season, and before many teams even concluded their regular season, that he could have hired in January.

What do you think?

Hoiberg, Prohm are both great choices, but time is running out on selecting a coach. Recruiting has suffered and right now the roster is thin

If Hoidberg is fired, Iowa St would take him back in a heartbeat which means they probably part ways with Prohm. I think Prohm would be a home run hire for us.

Well, if Prohm takes Iowa State farther than Hoiberg has, then we'll see.

I can't figure out why Hoiberg ever left. He basically traded a lifetime job at his alma mater in his hometown where he is a legend, for an unstable NBA career.

Sure, it's more money, but also much higher cost of living and instability.

Unless he just hates college basketball, which is a possibility.

He is a quality coach and good guy.

Creighton "stealing" McDermott was how we got Fred. Interestingly enough Greg was not getting it done at ISU but has been fairly successful at Creighton.

Jamie Pollard (AD) went after Fred and Fred alone and was heavily criticized for hiring a head coach for a DI program with zero head coaching experience. Fred worked out though.

What the hell are you talking about? The tournament hasn't even started and LSU has 10 guys with eligibility left plus two signees coming in next year. Assuming everyone from this year's team comes back, LSU only has one (1) open scholarship to give. There is ZERO reason to rush this hire right now.

I was hoping Brad Stevens would have fizzled out with the Celtics. Now that would have been a solid hire before Coach K retires - he would have been a lock for Duke.
