How much should he lose? I say 10 pounds. 230 playing weight will benefit him

He's chiseled at 240. He'll play at 235. He has tree trunk thighs

225-230 prob would be good. If he goes to a team that features him it wouldnt hurt to play around 225. 325+ carries a year in the NFL is a grind.

Wrong. 225 is too light for him. He's a freak, and he needs to stay big in order to maintain his physical running style. He just ran a fuching 4.51 at 240. He's 4.45 fast at 235

Let's be honest... Does it really matter?

ETA: assuming he doesn't get up to like 260 or something

Probably in the 225-230 range. Carrying all that weight for his playing style will shorten career. LeVeon Bell played around 245lbs his rookie and ran a 4.6 at the combine. He plays at 225lbs now and his play on the field has been pretty significant. Besides, I'm pretty sure LF7 would be faster if he lost 10-15lbs.

He was 225-230 his sophomore year when he was at his best

You do realize 225 is fricking huge for a RB, right? He will still be able to truck people, and will open up more of his skill set. Agility, explosion , endurance will all improve. You couldn't be more wrong

As a rule of thumb I don't argue with your dumbass. Your a fuching idiot though if you think a back that just ran a 4.51 should lose 15 lbs going into a league of 250lb Lbers on every team.

So by your logic if he goes from 240 to 235 pounds his 40 time will go from 4.51 to 4.45?

I can't wait till he runs a 4.45 at LSU's pro day at 235. Thread bookmarked.

an explosive, agile, more fresh 225lb RB running sub 4.40 is harder to tackle than a 240lb back running like he does now.

Again, go read the articles about him losing weight going into his Sophomore year. It's not a coincidence that he owned. Of course you prob thought he was playing at 240, well, because 225 is still fricking huge for a RB. 250lb linebackers aren't tackling him if he has a lane and a head start anyway
