Everyone knows he has the speed. Everyone knows he has the size to truck and break tackles. He has excellent vision l; but after watching highlights of the last year it seems that this may be overlooked since he is so great at all the others.

Second half of the Florida game and all of the Auburn game come to mind.

I think this year he is a man amongst boys.

Can we all just agree that he is a once in a decade type talent and we should not take for granted every single play he is on the field. Ball in his hand or not. Defense always has to account for him. Advantage-Good Guys!

the 'once in a' ... generation/decade/blahblahblah phrase is such bs...

stanley roberts is the perfect example. luckily another 'once in a .... ' player showed up the next year named you know who

the 'once in a' blah blah blah treatment is a great way to develop prima donnas. how many 'once in a...' players did villanova have last night? it doesn't matter

get back the chinese bandits and the hustlers and away from this religious idolatry/hero-worship and we will win some games

Love Fournette, but still think he is learning how to run at this level. His vision only can and will improve as he finishes his Jr year and progresses into the NFL.

Bro It's time we realize nothing about the man is underrated. Nor is it overrated. 99.9 percent of non-trolls recognize his greatness.

No it's not. Fournette is a once in a decade player for all of college football. He's a once in a generation talent if you're only considering LSU.

Your example about Stanley Roberts just shows that a legitimate expression can be misused by excitable people.

Your point about discouraging prima donnas is a valid one, though it is the coaches' responsibility not the fans.

Peterson? Mathieu? Beckham? all same generation. Mathieu even got a Heisman nomination over Fournette. I'm not trying to be a shine-blocker but winning games is more important than individual hype.

Just saying it the way it is. Fournette may put up Bo Jackson numbers again, but finding a slot receiver and tightening up all around is better than another 7 game Heisman campaign.

When Shaq first got to LSU, Stanley was better. Shaq has even said that. It's just ridiculous that fans expect one great recruit/player to carry a team. Basketball had a string of blue chip recruits - Rudy Macklin, John Williams, Stanley Roberts, Shaquille, CJ, Randy Livingston ... thats what it takes to build a program. Not the "once in a ..." hype piled on to a recruit who chooses LSU over the powerhouses.
