Does anyone else feel like Fournette is kind of not living up to his role as a team leader? He seems to really lack fire and intensity this season, almost like he knows it's just one more year until the NFL.

You never see him on the sideline talking up the team, or taking a player over who messed up and calming them down or coaching them up.

He's a great player and from all accounts a good person, but it seems he's ready to leave for greener pastures.

He's not real happy that Harris was benched, in my opinion.

No, the way that he ran last night showed leadership.

So his mannerisms reflect those of the head coach?

Seems I've heard something about that before.

I thought I disliked you when you spammed the food board with your dumb arse blog. I'd prefer you go back to that instead of spreading your cancerous stupidity here.

Where do you get that from? I'm sure he's happy as hell not running into 9 man fronts all game, I'm sure the guy is a little frustrated his last season with us isn't going as he planned and he's still hurt, he wanted championships and a Heisman and doesn't look like he will get either while here

That's what I'm seeing. He is definitely not 100% and just looks frustrated at how inept his o-line plays. I'm sure his buddy Harris getting benched also aggravates him.

Get out of here with this bullshite.

Fournette runs his tail off and leads by example. I saw him get on to OL a couple of times during the game for mistakes and go pul players out of situations where they could have gotten personal foul penalties.

Open your eyes!

This is so stupid. This is a great example of predictable ignorance.

To the op, yes Fournette needs to show a little more leadership. I've mentioned this each week. The team clearly needs more leadership.

Not going to imply Fournette is a bad apple in the locker room, but it wouldn't surprise me if he was in Harris' corner. They came in together, and I could see where the 2 expected to be the starting backfield for their careers here.
I don't expect that there is any issue regarding that, though.

What MIGHT be a problem, is this: Fournette might have a problem regarding who is THE MAN. He came in as THE MAN, he's used to being that, and we (the fans) like that he is. He definitely is the Alpha Dog out there...
BUT, he's a RUNNING BACK. And this is not 1977, it's 2016, and nowadays, you need your QB to be the leader if you want to run a good offense.

Harris might have developed his problems, not so much with the scheme, but by conceding too much to Fournette.

Etling threw 30 passes last night, something Fournette is not accustomed to. He might have to adjust to not being the total #1 focus of the offense, from an ego standpoint.
