Running backs with single digit numbers in college just seem more awesome to me. Reggie Bush #5 comes to mind.

Great LF/Wisconsin image, but Wisconsin would be wearing red; it would not be white vs. white jerseys.

Thorpe and Bednarik award winners have recently worn that. One was a heisman finalist. Now let's get a heisman winner in that thing!

I doubt he needed Mathieu's permission, but I get what you're saying.

I love that he's going to wear #7! Although I think of that number as best suited for a QB, I mostly think of that number being emblazoned on the chest of one of the top players on the field.

When I think about LSU players with #7, I think about Patrick Peterson, Tyrann Mathieu, Rondell Mealy, Bert Jones, Alan Risher, Trev Faulk, and Ali Highsmith.

Bert Jones was my favorite player of all time throughout my childhood and is still one of my favorites. I'm hoping that Fournette will live up to my lofty expectations, win a heisman, be considered the best back of his generation, bring us a Natty!, and become my favorite Tiger of all time.

That's not asking too much, is it?
