We all know how these things usually play out. Hopefully we jump on him early and shut down his confidence.

quote:

Auburn will feature a new starting rotation this weekend, as junior left-hander Andrew Mitchell will start Thursday in game one of the series. Co-aces Keegan Thompson and Casey Mize will be on the mound Friday and Saturday, respectively. Mitchell will start in place of freshman Davis Daniel, who will work out of the bullpen this weekend.

It will be a return home for Mitchell, a New Orleans native who began his college career at LSU before transferring to a junior college.

"In some way he'll be able to look back after this is over and that will be a special night," Thompson said. "I did see where a lot of his family is coming to be with him. It's really not, 'Hey, start Andrew because you're going to LSU.' It's really because that's our next starter up. It's kind of neat to work out that way but he just needs to focus on making pitches and getting us off to a good start."

He was pretty good at Delgado and had a decent year last year. I haven't kept up with how he did this year.

That being said, I hope we hit him up for about 9 runs in the first couple innings.

Hopefully Poche and Walker are on their games because they're pitching their 2 best tomorrow and Saturday.

He's been really pretty good this year, but this is only his 3rd start.

Last year he was pretty bad.

And his ERA is better than all of our starters.

I think Hanny said 28 innings is all he has pitched this season.

Former Tigers always do well against LSU...so we are doomed.

yea, I would definitely not pitch my ace against LSU in game 1. if they win tonight they have a great chance to win the series and a damn good shot at a sweep.

it's all hinges on which Lange shows up and can our bats finally warm up?

Well, if he has an ERA over 6 and a WHIP of 1.7, we could be in trouble!

He usually comes out of the pen and is either really good or not, no in between. Hopefully tonight he is not!
