so Ben, what do you think Brandon LaFell's draft status is looking like now? I'd say a lot higher than Byrds right now!

i'd say neither is high, lafell comes back and byrd goes 3rd round?

Dude I was talking about all the picks, someone said the fact that 7 were returned weren't his fault which is just crazy

no, that person just said the actual throws for interceptions were his fault, but the fact that they are returned for TD's isnt totally his fault, but the fault of the offense for not being able to make the tackle, but you just overlooked his statement to make a point in this thread, congrats

Oh yeah I forgot that part. Blaming offensive players for not tackling... That's totally why they play offense

The quote I read was "he has not mastered the complexities of the playbook." Not "he doesn't know the playbook." It means he's limited. Obviously Lee hasn't exactly mastered them either. That being said, why would Miles even give the guy a shot tonight if he didn't think he was somewhat capable.

eriously, you were born in 1965, congrats for being mature

yeah, i typically don't get into personal attacks but when the guy attacks me for asking a legit question...which was basically how can we assume from the limited sample we've seen that Jefferson will never be capable of winning the job...I lost my cool. To say Lee is the better option to start at this time is reasonable, but to say that's how it will always be is inconclusive.

Now if you had taken that approach earlier, maybe we wouldn't have had all this name calling...

FWIW, I'm not now, nor have I ever called for JJ to start. Once and for all, I was only asking on what basis you and others were making for your assessments.

well then don't blame defenders when they drop a potential INT, because that's why they play defense, because they can't catch.

The point is that all of these guys know how to tackle, they all played both ways in high school. tackling is a part of the sport, everyone should be capable of it.

Neither me or Ben are implying that we think JL will always be better than JJ. Both he and I are for winning right now, which has been the point of the entire thread. I wouldnt mind beating Ole Miss and Ar-Kansas, maybe you would like to throw in the towel to develop a green QB, i dk.

The fact that our national championship winning head coach does not think this kid can run the option, let alone run the offense??????
