I played a good bit of baseball myself and just don't understand LSU not being able to hit them. Granted some lefties can be tough but everyone of them? All you have to do is be patient and NOT TRY AND PULL EVERYTHING. It just seems like all year it has been the same thing. Hey, how about adjust.

I'm not an expert but I think it might be a little more complicated than that

Well you can laugh all you want but you wont be laughing when LSU can't hit lefties in the postseason.

It's not lefties, it's any stud pitcher of the other team. We do not have enough good hitters to handle the other teams ace. As a result we can not string any hits together.

If we don't get into the other teams bullpen early, we lose.

It's not lefties? Have you watched this team all year?

Come on people, its a fallacy to say that KLSU can't make an intelligent observation just b/c he's not playing Major League baseball.

The man has a point. 12 of our 15 losses have been against LH starting pitchers. We can't seem to get much traction against them.

Case in point, earlier in the game, Schimpf comes up with 2 runners on, and tries to fricking pull the ball instead of just "going with the pitch". Just once this game, I want one of our left handed hitters to slap the ball to left field.

Especially Minor for Vandy...

This kid has great stuff...1st Round Pick...Smart for not pitching Coleman or Renaudo tonight. Maneiri knew this would be tough so he saved our best pitchers for the losers bracket...just in case.

It seems after 50 games or so our hitting coaches could improve our players chances against lefties. I am baffled but apparently so are the players and coaches. I'm not paid to correct it but someone should be embarrassed to be as bad at the end of the year as they were at the beginning.

I don't understand why you guys are being arse holes to this guy. We are atrocious against even decent lefties. 12 losses about to be 13 if we can't come back have come from them. This guy is on 4 days rest with 126 pitches in his last start and we are letting him absolutely shut us down. Guys a stud but we certainly are making it easy on him. If I were an opponents coach I would throw every lefty I had vs. our lineup.

So you're saying that we knew we couldn't beat him so we waved the white flag? That doesn't bode well for this postseason.

I think you have to take a look at the hitting coach I hate to be that guy but it's pathetic. Couple that with the fact that we can't even lay down a bunt for shite

KLSU played the ole " I played a good bit of baseball" card.

I can not be critical of the post, because I did not play, only hauled water, mowed the grass and treated grass stains on uniforms.

A freaking 100 years of baseball history verifies that you are an idiot.

Holy shite, why did EVERY left handed hitter in baseball HISTORY not think of that one?

It doesn't take an expert to realize the Tigers struggle against lefties.Expect to see alot more the rest of the post season.

Not wave the white flag...I wrote "just in case"...PM knows his teams tendencies better than anyone. Working your way out of the losers bracket in a tournament happens sometimes. You hope you don't have to but it's baseball.

...and as it turned out, we couldn't beat him.
