Why has no one ever tried to hire him away from LSU? Why has no one ever wanted him? The fact is through his entire tenure at LSU with the exception of the Michigan job opening up directly following him winning a national championship here, he has never been aggressively pursued to leave for another College or Pro job. And once he is done here he won't be offered a job remotely close to the stature of the LSU job. That really says a lot.

You can't say "why has no one tried to hire him away" then say except Michigan

Maybe Les told pursuers he didn't want to leave LSU so don't try. You don't know what schools reached out to Bus Cook. For some reason Les enjoys being the head coach at LSU, imagine that

How many schools out there do you think had the money to pay Miles more money than he was making at LSU? Do you guys even think these things out before you post?

You know this for sure, how?
Do you think all coaching searches are as poorly done as the current one? You have no way of knowing what other programs have contacted Les' agent to ascertain interest.
You really do not have a clue.

Actually it occurred prior to the SEC Championship in 2007, and Michigan's administration only made a half-hearted effort to appease a faction of former players. With Lloyd Carr still firmly entrenched in Ann Arbor at that time, there was no chance in Hell that Miles was getting the job.

Please stop. The Arkansas deal was nothing but a con game on Alleva perpetrated by Miles, his agent and his buddy the Arkansas AD to get Les another extension.

Michigan NEVER offered Miles.

That revelation has been backed up by the college president, Michigan AD, Lloyd Carr, Dave Brandon, Miles' agent, Alleva, and even Les Miles himself

Good God people

And Arkansas was not even a serious offer, just a play at a pay raise, and the #1 reason Alleva is ready for Miles to go.

I had to throw in Michigan because all of you Miles guzzlers would automatically throw that out there, but the fact is he was never getting that job and no other job in 10+ years has he even been mentioned for. He is not a wanted commodity in the coaching world for a reason. You pumpers will never accept that.
