If you combine stats for the 4 years of JJ and JL, they have 7700+ yds passing, 57 Tds, and 37 Ints.

That would put them 2nd only to Tommy Hodson in total yards and TDs with a minimum of 6 games more to play.

I have to admit that I was wrong about the 2 QB thing.

Perhaps we have all chosen sides in the 2 QB shuffle and failed to look at the big picture??

The picture is bigger than what you stated. The picture you need to look at is the offensive stats from 09 and 10, especially at qb. Now compare those with 11 and tell me what the big picture looks like.

I feel like your missing something but can't figure it out.

It isn't an issue for the team. Why is it an issue for the fans?

My step daughter saw the difference between Lee and Jefferson Saturday. And by the way she called me by my first name until she had kids, now they all call me Pappy. Anyway, if she can tell a difference in the two, so can everybody else. Its like black and white. Wait, bad choice of words. Its like night and day, hmmm, not good words either. How about salt and pepper, no, maybe ebony and ivory, nope, not gonna work. Oh well, the proof is in the pudding, vanilla or chocolate. I prefer vanilla.

For me, the big picture is/was both guys have done their best for LSU and that best in 3&1/2 seasons equated to 35 wins, 3 bowl trips, 3 top 20 national rankings, 2 Top 10 rankings, and have us in line for a shot at a NT.

They both have taken wayyyyyyyy more BS from their own than they deserved!

I'll role with these 2 guys anytime.

No, never had an issue with it. Always thought JJ should be coming off the bench. It's asinine to put JL in the game on third downs when the O needs yards, because everyone know what the hell is going on. Setting a kid up for failure. JL still did well in that situation at times. JL is the better game manager and passer. He does well leading the team and then JJ off the bench in spots when a different twist is needed.

Besides Hodson, I'm not sure if I can think of another LSU QB that started more than 3 seasons.

Here you are combining 2 QB stats accumulated over 4 total seasons.

About 52 games total for JL+JJ.

All the previous LSU QB's probably have no more than 30 starts.

So of course stats for both JL and JJ combined would be more than any QB in LSU history(not named Hodson).
