Well his quote was this

quote:

Incorrect. WE HAD a passing game up until a certain part of the season. I can't remember what occurred to change that though................

We had 208 passing yards against Arkansas which was the game before UGA. It was the 2nd highest passing total of the season (the highest was 213. The fourth highest total was Western Kentucky. Clearly he couldnt have been talking about any of the last three. Maybe hes talking about the Oregon game where we only had 98 yards passing...but his diction would imply that it happened somewhere over the course of the season not the first game. Everything seems about the same except 3 outliers Bama1 Uga Bama 2.

Anyways thats last year I digress. Love the fact that we had our starting qb post higher in 1 half than we did in any full game last season. Looking forward to a qb the staff trusts....we going to the ship again!

Through the first 8 games if I recall, then the great mystery started to unfold.......

So much for last year... I saw Mett make some good throws and two great throws. He also made one very bad throw in the red zone. Overall I was impressed with his reads even when the ball was dropped or incomplete. His best throw was to RS. Next level throw to a not so open receiver. It is clear his football IQ is enough to let the coaches be more creative in the passing game. Josh Downs had a solid game and so did R Feist. Overall most impressed with our depth and speed in the secondary that could be even better than last year.
