I swear it just sucks that every year we start the season with hopes of winning the SEC but end up hoping to go to the Music City Bowl or some other insignificant bowl game. I hate the Miami Dolphins for taking the best coach in the country from us. We literally have the polar opposite of Nick Saban in Les Miles.

Alabama's team is a joy to watch, they execute their plays, disciplined, smart and obviously well coached.

LSU is painful to watch (even when they win), discombobulated, undisciplined, not very smart and obviously not well coached.

Yes we're in football hell and unfortunately I think we'll be here for awhile.

I'm telling y'all, Saban had a voodoo curse placed on Miles before 1/9/12.

Indeed. Peace comes through acceptance. We are a mid level SEC team. You are who your record says you are.

So you're saying it might take an exorcism to get rid of Lesticles?

People who don’t recover from negative events seem to keep going over their troubles. “They basically get stuck in a mindset where they relive what happened to them over and over again,” says Jutta Joormann, of the University of Miami. She co wrote the new study with Sara Levens and Ian H. Gotlib of Stanford University. “Even though they think, oh, it’s not helpful, I should stop thinking about this, I should get on with my life—they can’t stop doing it,” she says. She and her colleagues thought people with depression might have a problem with working memory. Working memory isn’t just about remembering a shopping list or doing multiplication in your head; it’s about what thoughts you keep active in your mind. So, Joormann thought, maybe people who get stuck on negative thoughts have problems turning their mind to a new topic

Only you can get yourself out of this hell, and it's actually really easy. Here's how.

1. Grab your wallet. Inside there's probably a state-issued identification card bearing your photo and some information about you.
2. Look at the date of birth on the card mentioned in step 1. If that date was more than 18 years ago, this indicates that you are, in the legal sense, an adult.
3. Do something that an adult does. That means, for the purposes of this conversation, anything other than be upset about an extracurricular activity in which you do not participate.
4. Geaux Tigers.

It is monotonous and disheartening. But in the short term, all that can be done is to recruit an incredible class this year.

I dealt with those years as well but I hoped we wouldn't be returning.

I beg to differ. Knowing you suck like back then, it was expected. We didn't get our hopes up, were pleased with winning 6-7 games.

Now its worst because you know you have the talent and players to win games and get to atlanta evey few years, so we get our hopes up and are dissapointed when we go to the music city bowl

Miles isn't obsessed with winning.

It trickles down to the staff and players.

Just accept it.

I know right, Joormann is clearly getting working memory muddled together with executive functioning. While both involve the frontal lobes, they are considered separate cognitive domains. Can you even?

This too, shall pass. Saban will, one day, hang it up and we won't have to face him any more. You can count on this-whoever they hire will be a big dropoff because there is no one even close to him. Their is solace there.
