If LSU banned big scale tailgating, how many of you would stop coming to the games?

Good question. I go for the game, tailgate is just extra ! Tailgating in the '70's was not that big a deal. Some did it, but it was just to meet up with friends. Some beer, maybe some chips and dip, it was still all about the game.

As it should be.

Why? I don't understand this logic. Yes the game is awesome ... but hanging out with friends and family is great too. It's very rare to be able to get all those people together and see them.

Is it just the macho thing to say? "football is what it's all about. Me no need tailgate. Arrrrrrrr." Come on now.

Ok. So would you stay home if no tailgating?

No. I would still go to my one game a year. Travel is a bitch when it's a ten hour drive.

There's something magical about seeing the game live and being in TS.

I think the only fall in attendance would be from women.

People who tailgate and don't go to the games even when they have tickets are not that big of fans of LSU as compared to being fans of having a good time.

The football game should be the most important aspect of the day and to many it is secondary.

disagree I have tailgating equal with the game. Being able to go out to take your mind off everyday life for a whole day to spend with family and friends. There is nothing better. Also tailgating and watching other games plus interacting with other fans makes the game even more enjoyable.

Be cramped around stupid loud fat people has dampered my importance level of being in the stadium.

I used to never miss, now I'd much rather sit outside cook drink and watch on TV

No, but there's just so much space. Somebodies got to go and who do you think LSU is gonna protect ? people who BUY TICKETS and GO to the games or tailgaters who BUY NOTHING from LSU on game day ?

i actually wished tailgating was not a big thing to do . that way i can enjoy the game with out some drunk a@@ spilling beer on me or being drunk when they get into the game. i go for the game not to tailgate.

Where am I wrong ? I know LSU is trying to raise money with this but they also had to do something about the number of people on campus. It was getting out of hand. I have a pass in the lot behind the old Box so I don't really care either way.
