It strikes me as extremely odd that a report comes out that WW and Self will be subpoened for trial by the defense. This information could have only come from the defense attorneys as no formal request for a subpoena had yet been filed. Then, actual transcripts of wiretapped partial conversations are reported. Clearly, the defense attorneys are the ones feeding this information to Yahoo! as they would have access to the evidence. It seems they are sending a clear message to WW via the media about testifying to the effect that Dawkins did not bribe him. Then the defense lawyers have the audacity to issue a "no comment" for the public. In short, this whole selective reporting is nothing but a defense tool and is really unfair to Wade and others who really cannot practically respond to anything. This is "Ray Donovan" type BS that is trying to change the narrative for their client.

Of course it's coming from Dawkins defense team. And you know what? I completely understand it. His client (Dawkins) is already going to have to serve 9 months in prison for being a part of process in which the "victim" (colleges) is happily a part of. The attorney is trying to show that Dawkins isn't "bribing" or defrauding anyone. The schools, coaches, etc. want to be a part of it.

I said it in another thread. This whole charade is a giant fricking waste of federal funds and investigative/judicial resources SOLELY for purposes of publicity for the SDNY US Attorney's office. Guys like Dawkins and the Adidas execs aren't criminals threatening the fabric of American society. They're businessmen involved in a business where the purported "victim" (the schools) is a happily willing participant.

Dawkins' attorney is defending his guy by trying to show what a fricking joke this entire investigation is. There is no victim!
