So you're saying that we'll be able to run on Florida when we couldn't run on Auburn and had only marginal success against Towson until later in the game?

The problems that we're having with the OL aren't gonna disappear overnight. There were several times against Towson when we had 3rd and short and tried to run up the middle (Miles' favorite play) and got stuffed. That is a huge concern.

As per copeland and miles - but you never know with the latter .

Even if not - neighbors has shown himself to be a viable alternative and Hilliard himself can do the job as well.

WTF? Turnovers were our problem in those games not the ground game.

Run blocking is what this line does best.

Hadn't heard that.. Good news.

Still, Florida gettig their best defensive player back can't be understated.

If you want to play that game -

Bowling green 100+ yards

Kentucky 159 yards

Are you saying that Florida which could not prevent these powerhouses with no RB could have any success at all against LSU!

The game against Towson was never in doubt - it was a win - regardless of how sloppy or low the point differential would be.

Did you stop to think that maybe with the new OL , they were experimenting with that particular play?

That if it didn't click there, they would have to rethink / retune/ alter it for the SEC games later?

I thought this after Idaho.

Now I realize stack the box against LSU and when they do a play action, blitz 8 guys and you'll give them trouble all night.

190 yards because our RBs are legit and always break a long one.

Experimenting with running a dive play up the middle against a stacked box?

We've seen that shite ever since Miles has been at LSU. That and that stupid option play to the short side of the field are staples in his playbook.

Over 4 yards a carry in both games and in the Towson game we really didn't put an emphasis on the run game. Miles placed an emphasis on passing. Our running game and the OL run blocking is our offense's strength.

Need not be the play but the players instead - it was a new line.

Just because it is a common play doesn't mean that the players who are involved in it have done it hundreds of time.

In any case the point is that it was Towson, the coaches were not going to probably spend more than a few minutes on each play just before each series - doesn't make for a pretty game but the coaches don't care for that and instead spend their time on probably the upcoming SEC gauntlet.

At what point do people stop denying what LSU is on offense? If the game is close tomorrow the MELTDOWN on this board will be biblical.

That is not the point.
