Tommy Banks was a man amongst boys. I love the fact that we whipped Spurrier and Stoops on the same night. I miss those jerseys too

The one day I choose to move and stop my cable is the day this game is on.

Donaldson's TD is a classic

Wait, our colors match and our shoulder stripe and arm stripe match, black shoes. Throw in a gray face mask and I'd wear those forever.

How much shite would Wade Richey have gotten if we lost this game?

None. It was LSU in 1997 not 2011.

Jamie Howard disagrees with that line of thought.

I was in the student section. I don't remember tiger stadium being that loud since. This is the first time I sit and watch this game since that night. I have chills. Brings me back to some good times. The buzz lasted exactly 1 week till we lost to ole miss.

I would not change the last ten years of success for anything but I think as a fan you need to go through years like the late 90's to enjoy it more.

Anyone else own the "Gotcha Gators" painting commemorating that game?

The game where 200,000 people swear they were in the stands

My all time favorite game. And, yes, I was there. I've been going to games since the early 1970's. The stadium was just different at this game. It was electric like none I've had ever been at before (1979 USC game is a close second.) You could feel the electricity of the crowd before the game began and then it grew from there to the point where you couldn't hear the person next to you. A lot of people lost their voices that night. Good times indeed.

Well said sir....from the moment you walked in and got to your seat, you could feel the electricity in the air the second the teams came out for warm ups.

I wish I knew where my ticket stub was. I'm sure I hung onto it for a while then lost it after the 10,001 times I've moved since then.

I'd differ with you here, putting USC '79 first, but I think '97 Florida was definitely the closest.
