Isn't Baton Rouge like top 5 in murder rate? And they are arresting a kid for selling used, smelly shoes on eBay? Does no one else find this to be absurd?

The LSU police don't have anything better to do? Baton Rouge is a cesspool, I'm sure some of that overflows onto campus.

This guy probably didn't consider this stuff stolen.

My question is why would they have let him walk if he gave up the name of the player?? what he did was still illegal.

Because they're on the hunt for the BIG FISH in this case over $200 worth of cleats and gloves.

The police want to know who the player is that gave it to him to sell, the actual person responsible.

I find it very awesome of Sanders to then take the fall for that player to protect their future.

I just hope all parties have learned their lesson.

And Jacory and Malachi should probably hope that BRPD ain't coming to confiscate all their shoes a la JJ.

The above tweets prove nothing other than for some reason Durpe followed and retweeted Fletcher as far back as March 2014. But because our players love tweeting this, that and the other it won't be too hard to figure out which players to start interviewing.

Jennings is one of his Twitter followers so there's a chance.

Harris, thankfully, appears to have had no interaction on Twitter with him.

We need a Team Sweep training class to teach incoming freshman to never ever use social media to interact with people they "give" their stuff to.

LSU's equipment manager called campus police after seeing game-worn cleats and gloves for sale on eBay.

Ah.. I missed that part of the story.

Thanks for pointing that out.

Arresting this man for selling these cleats is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard of.

Like LSU really needs the money for these "stolen" cleats or really gives a shite.

LSU PD OR BRPD NEEDS TO FIND SOMETHING BETTER TO DO WITH THEIR TIME THAN THIS NONSENSE.

I'm not saying you are wrong, but I bet you'd have a radically different opinion if the owner of T-Town Menswear got arrested by Tuscaloosa PD for fencing game worn merchandise for Amari Cooper.

I have more things in life to worry about than players selling their game worn clothing and shoes. If players can sell their clothes for some extra cash, let them do it. It's not like the University or the athletic department really needs the money or the clothes back anyway once they are used and dirty. So no, I don't care if it were Amari Cooper or Landon Collins or whoever.

I believe that if someone really wants to buy some game worn clothes from a player, then let them do it. I personally don't believe that it should be a big deal or a crime. F the NCAA with their stupid arse rules.

I was trying to think of a comparison of what this would be like and I've decided it's kind of like taking free snacks from the break room at your office and then selling them to people.

I wonder if the fact that LSU equipment was never going to ask for them back is relevant or not. Probably not.

Good point Geauxrilla. And then, this bitch arse equipment manager gets his panties in a wad because he sees game cleats being sold on the internet, like it's his own damn cleats.

Then he calls the police and gets this Sanders guy arrested. Really?????

What a total vag. Explains why he's an equipment manager. Hope you feel good about yourself equipment manager kid!

now go and wash some jock straps by hand.
