A-. The minus is only because of the Offense struggles at times. Everything else A+
We finish with a top 3 recruiting class and pick up a few studs in the portal and the future is really bright with Kelly/LSU going forward.

Lots of football left. We won the West is great, but if we lose out (UAB, A&M, Georgia, and bowl opponent), then he isn’t getting an A.

A and it’s not even close. They were picked to finish last, in the West. I really liked the hire, and thought he would do great things. I never in a million years thought he would win the West, in year one though.

B+. For an experienced coach such as he is, he made some glaring errors in the 1st couple of games.

You should be coach. Since you’re an expert and all.

I'm all about differing opinions but im honestly curious of your expectations of this team/Kelly prior to the season. What would Kelly have to do to earn an A in your book?

I was more optimistic than most - I was thinking 8-4, 9-3 if we were lucky. I did think we would beat Alabama and end up with an outside shot at a NY6 bowl. Barring upset losses to UAB and A&M, we’ll hit the high end.

Next year, the SEC better WATCH OUT - especially if Daniels comes back

A+

He took the reins of a dispirited and depleted team.

Recruited misfit players, glued them into a team, and coached them up.

Think about this; SEC West teams with more talent, Alabama, aTm, and Ole Miss (possibly Arkansas). We beat them all (I’m a fan and can predict a Faggie beat down) and are SEC West champions. We are still being mentioned in the naty conversation! Yet all the football gurus predicted last place.

Even with the first game loss to Fla State, he deserves an A. If Perkins plays in that game, and if he plays in the Tennessee game (full time) we could possibly be undefeated. At worst 1 loss.

A, if they beat FSU it’s a A+, I thought we would be 7-5, 8-4 this year. He’s done an amazing job

A
It has been an incredible season and turnaround especially considering the holes and lack of roster depth.

I like him, don’t get me wrong. But the special teams clusterfrick early on, not playing Perkins, and not having Daniels ready to throw the ball were glaring errors that cost us 1, if not 2 games.

That being said, if he can beat Georgia and get an SEC championship, then the grade goes up to an A, of course.

The season is not over, it’s too early to assign ‘grades’, that are meaningful. My grade is based on today, which is not yet a full body of work.
