LSU dominated the line of scrimmage for the first time in the saban era

Eh, they got a lot of pressure. But they held up very well.

I said this to my friends earlier! We whooped their arse up front tonight

Oline is the main reason why LSU has been whipped so many times by Bama.
But not tonight.
But not tonight.

Two true freshman tackles and this is the best LSU Oline I can remember.

Dline for sure got better as the game went on. Oline gave up a lot of sacks and pressures to say they dominated

3 of the sacks were on designed QB runs

You beat me to it. Our DLine held their own. It felt really, really good to finally see them not get pushed around by yet another 1500 pound Bama OLine.
Our OLine got their shite pushed in most of the night though. Our offense never really got going because they could not consistently hold up. They did just enough to keep up, barely. We've got a ways to go there.

I definitely didn’t see it that way. I think it was pretty even up front between our ol and the Bama dl. I don’t think we dominated the Bama dl but shite pushed in is female dramatic level and not true. Sacks will always be more prevalent with a duel threat qb.

Two true freshman did so well all things considered… I am amazed

We held our own on offensive line and we beat them with our Dline

LSU destroyed them upfront last year, Max just blew it.

did you see Fournette run for 31 yards on 19 attempts against bama in 2015? THAT was the oline getting overpowered.
our top 3 true (ie not including Daniels) rushers had 87 yards on 13 attempts. not bad. add in another 95 from Daniels and I'd say we were getting pretty good push...

Tonight was great. And no doubt, Bama has routinely outperformed us at the LOS. But your memory is short.
In the 2008 game, LSU held Bama to 138 yards rushing, while LSU rushed for over 200 yards. Scott rushed for 92 yards, while KWilliams rushed for 88.
And in 2010, LSU rushed for 225, while holding Bama to 102.
Yes, they are outliers - but that doesn’t mean they didn’t happen.

That’s not true. We whipped them up front in 2019. Our defensive front was fairly even with their offensive line, and our offensive line dominated Bama. When Bama got pressure it was off the corner with an extra man, and Burrow and Clyde chewed them up.

Based on star power and rankings, their OL is a major let down for them two years in a row.
We had 10 hurries, 2 sacks and 4 TFLs. Our front and player rankings compared to their roster/depth chart. Alabama massively fails at running the ball. I’m amazed Saban kept BOB after last year
