Has anyone ever been to this? How is it? My mom is a die hard LSU baseball fan and season ticket holder. My parents house flooded, and they still haven't been able to move back home. I was thinking of buying them tickets to cheer her up.

Definitely get her tickets; I have a friend who gets signed posters for me every year & I cherish them. I hang them at my desk & bring them home to frame after the season's over.

I've gone the last four years, the only downside to me is that it's always on a Sunday night. All of the players are seated in a row and you can take a poster with this years schedule and have each player sign. Starting last year they no longer allowed you to bring baseballs/jerseys etc to have the players sign. Dinner is alright. They usually have someone talk for awhile, in years past it's been Kyle Peterson from ESPN and last year was Jim Hawthorne. There is also a silent auction on some cool things at the back of the banquet room.

They would definitely enjoy it. It's a nice event.

I've been for the past several years. Definitely worth going to if she's a big LSU baseball fan. A little 'rah-rah' like but usually some really good speeches by guests (Kyle Peterson, Paul Byrd, Ben McDonald, Eddie Furniss). I guess Paul Byrd can be permanently scratched.

I enjoy the player speeches more than anything. One player from each class takes to the podium and tends to roast the other players in his class.
