Hello! I'm taking my girl down to her first LSU game this weekend! Is there any parking advice you could give me, and also what time is best to get there for a 8 pm kickoff?

Thanks in advance! #GeauxTigers

I'd get there 3-4 hours ahead and walk around. Make sure you watch the players and band walk down the hill. LSU will put out a schedule of events today or tomorrow.

I would say get there around noon and walk around. Recommend parking at one of the church lots on Dalrymple. Its more in the heart of campus

Grab a blanket and get on campus by Tiger Stadium for sunrise. Guaranteed to get you a ZJ before tailgating. Bitches loves sunrises over Tiger Stadium.

If you want the tailgate experience, show up around 11, find a tailgate, and introduce yourself and tell them it's your first game. Go to that link above and make sure you go see the players and band come down the hill. Make sure you stand about 30 yards from the bottom of the hill to hear the band the best. Get in the stadium about 45 minutes early to just take in the sheer size of tiger stadium and watch the team warm up. Then decide if you're a fan of "Callin' Baton Rouge." If you already are, sing it really loud to your girlfriend.

Get ready to get absolutley hooked to going to games. There's honestly no atmosphere like it when Death Valley is truly rocking.

And easiest access back to I-10 post-game.

Noon is perfect time...parking shouldn't be difficult and plenty of time to walk around then make it to see the band and team walk down the hill, then get into stadium early enough to watch the pregame.

I took my wife to her first game vs Missouri this year, we had a blast. We parked in the Hayfield, got there about two hours before game time and had a blast. We didn't drink much until after the game so if you are getting sauced up, plan accordingly. It's not the TS I grew up going to with my Dad but it's still awesome! Have fun and be safe!

If you have to ask, you can't afford it.
