It’s amazing how effective Finley is sneaking the ball, has it been stopped yet? Usually he gets it by more than a yard. It’s a great weapon to have.

Wish we had it to n for Mizzou...

Yeah, he’s been really consistent with it even though he doesn’t get very low.

Meh, I wouldn’t really criticize his technique when I think he is like 5-5 or 6-6 on the year doing them, you can get too low and just kind of get sat on my a d linemen, he is big and strong as hell and just pushes his way for the first.

yep. you either go way high or low as possible. On short yardage in-between very low and leaping is pain.

Having said that, as a QB/RB you have to read the DL/LBs and know what your OL is doing. Is the OL going to do everything possible to get under the DL? If yes, go low.

Is your OL going to go for LB is DL submarines? If so, go high.

Conventional wisdom, or common play, is for the OL at the point of attack to try and pin the hands (and body) of any submarining DL and away from the PoA if your guy submarines, step on him and hit a LB. Which means any submarining by the DL results in runner needing to go high.
