Fatigue a factor vs. SC?

LSU had 4 starters that logged well more than 30 minutes while SC had just 1 starter log over 30 minutes.

I feel like fatigue played a big factor in the game.

SC put up a ridiculous 55 points in the second half. We fought hard to keep up with them offensively but just seemed to lack the energy to consistently make stops on defense.

Fatigued players make silly turnovers & miss free throws at the end of games. Clearly we saw plenty of that throughout the last 2 minutes.

Would more bench minutes from LSU have made a difference in this game?

I've seen the dog-shite defense that LSU played the last 10 minutes too many times to blame it on fatigue...

Simmons and Victor were on the bench with 2 fouls in the first half. With all the fouls, free throws, dead ball time outs they shouldn't have been tired.

We lost because of our inconsistency. When TQ isn't on early it's going to be a tough game for us. JJ yanked Jim out of the game a few times for some terrible play but JG was just as bad. I don't get how a coach that played PG can have such bad play from his PGs.

I can't buy that. Plenty of breaks in basketball, every four minutes for t.v. timeouts, all the free throws taken in this game and the normal time-outs taken by teams not to mention a 20-minute halftime.

If fatigue is an issue IMHO you have a problem with conditioning. LSU's defense was poor the whole game not just the last 10 minutes. That was disappointing.

Fatigue?

The game stopped every 20 seconds.

We had an extra days rest. Simmons and Victor, who fatigue the most, both sat a good bit in the 1st half

Not to mention all of the standing around they do on offense. I would love to see them run ANY kind of motion offense.
