I'm well above 30. I don't care if we ever play them again. It's a VERY regional matchup that will have little if any national interest outside of a small geographical area of the country. Michigan State would be the better team to play for exposure on a national stage.

Must be under 30. I've wanted payback for the 90's for a long time. There's nothing I'd like better than to dominate their pretentious redneck asses in Texas. Bring it on.

I am 45 and was at LSU in the 80's. I remember those games at Kyle and at home. I DO NOT WANT TO PLAY THEM B/C it is about pride in this case. They are lower ranked than us, they have more to gain than us and I am not wanting to give them ANY exposure. They don't deserve it.

I'd love to see a ratings comparison for these two potential matchups. LSU vs A&M on primetime with no other bowl games to compete with versus LSU vs. Michigan State during the day in which there are a ton of other games played. Michigan State doesn't have a storied program and their draw won't reach very far outside of Michigan.

I would love to play & beat A&M as well but with the way our defense has performed at the end of the season and with a sucky offense Texas A&M might very well beat our purple & gold asses instead. A&M is one of the hottest teams in the country right now & we are lucky to be a Top 10 team. LSU playing in the Cotton Bowl is anything but a sure win.

Don't underestimate the Aggie football team. They have won 6 straight and have beaten Nebraska and OU, who were in the Big 12 Championship Game. There was an argument that they should have played in that game. They only lost to Arkansas (remember them?), Missouri and Oklahoma State. Their stats are similar to ours and I think it will be a good game. Yeah, beating a higher ranked team would give us a boost for next year but they are a quality team. I live close to College Station and have come to respect their school and traditions. However, I would love to whip their arse!

not crazy about that either but I'd rather play the Spartans, I dont think LSU gains a thing by playing A&M.

I'm under 30 and would love to see LSU tear up A&M... it'll help spread our recruiting esp since Texas isn't so hot right now. and payback is a plus as well.

A&M is probably saying that about us, in some circles.

If were not going to play in the Sugar bowl or ncg i'd rather go to a warm, fun city. Dallas isn't either

Well, my brother lives there and his gf and all of her friends are professional burlesque performers. Don't know about you but I'm gonna have the time of my friggin life.

And yes, to the poster who pointed out that the CB will be the only game in town that day at that time - that's pretty much the last word on the "national exposure" issue.

As for the poster who said aTm doesnt deserve a shot to elevate themselves against us, I hear you. Believe me, but that's the kind of thing that you risk when you go looking for revenge. Hell, last time we played MSU, we destroyed them and their little-known midget coach, so I'm good with it, to say the least.

I want to play aginst A&M because we have lost one time in an indoor arena over the last decade and that was to Georgia in '05 after a 12 week non-stop crazy season. Inside the Superdome and Georgia Dome, we dominate. I think Jerry's World would fit that mold, too.

The stats with y'all performing well inside domes is pretty intriguing. Have y'all ever discussed why LSU does well in domes?

I live and have grown up in Louisiana. I remember the beatings we took from A&M and was in the statium for a few of them.

I will be happy at either Orlando or the Cotton Bowl. Probably perfer Orlando against Michigan St. since they are in the Top 10 and a co-champion of the Big 10.

Just seems to mean more when you play a Conference Champion. Would be nice to see all three Big Ten Champions lose.

First college game I ever attended was Ags LSU in 1990 in BR. I was eleven and remember it like it was yesterday. I hope that what this poster says comes true:

I'd just rather play an 11-1 Michigan State team other than a team who's program has been a complete joke for the better part of a decade.

Careful what you wish for. We're not the gutted, ruined pile of fail we were after Archer got through showing the world how utterly worthless he is as a coach. It wasn't too long before that we were giving each other the fights of our lives. The name Eric Martin ring a bell, for example?

BTW, I hope RC calls McElroy every day to apologize for ruining his pro career by working him like a rented mule and creating the cycle of injury that plagued him throughout his playing days and probably continues to do so now. He was an incredible talent and deserved to be under the care of someone who actually knew what he was doing.
