can anyone tell me more details about the upcoming fan day? i think it is aug 9.
i collect lsu autographs but have never been to a fan day. can you bring in stuff to be signed [helmets, balls, etc], can you buy stuff there to be signed, what time does it start, is it crowded, etc?
any info would help as this is my first one and i'll be driving from dallas to attend.

You may want to find a good therepist. A 37 year old man driving from Dallas to get the autographs of a bunch of 19 -20 year old's is not a good sign.

I assure you that my mental health is fine but thanks for your concern. So you think having a few signed helmets and jerseys is a sign of issues?
While I'm talking to my therapist about my issues I'll go ahead and find out for you if a grown man with over 6000 posts on an internet forum is an issue as well. I suspect she'll think you don't get out much, have any friends or a life, etc. I'll confirm and let you know.
Who knows maybe we can get a group rate. I'll PM you what she says so as not to embarras you.

Fan day is hot as hell. You don't have long to get autographs so it's not really worth going to it for that. It's good for kids because they get to be on the field and meet a couple of players. It is very crowded, especially since LSU has been so successful the past couple of years.

If you are just in it for the autographs, its not worth the drive.
The majority of the thing is an open practice and maybe 30-45 mins of autograph signing

thanks to those that had constructive replies. having never been i didn't know if it was dedicated to autographs or what was involved - if it was worth it or not. i mean that is why ppl ask questions on forums - not to get advice on their mental health.
