Yep. My Dad and I were both sunshine pumpers but now I want an upgrade at head coach and he has a fear of the unknown.

Miles should get another year unless he is unwilling to change the offense; then he needs to go. Mom told me I was wrong, but I told her to get back in the kitchen.

No family feuds. It's unanimous that Slingblade should move on.

No one in the family, but at work. Until I told the 2 guys his SEC record the last 3 years, how the offense has been ranked 94th or worse the last few years. The number of players in the NFL and no hardware to show. The losing record in Bowl games the last few years. The glaring problems with penalties has trended up. Lets see what else, the stubbornness to change his scheme after getting blown away. They seem to agree with me now.

Seeing that I never wanted him and have voiced that opinion for 11 years, it won't be a topic since It's finally going to happen.

Im in this roll call

Argued with my father and brother literally several times year for the last 5 years.

I like Les

I think he is what college athletics should be

But its not. Its big business with coaches hired like mercenaries to win.
Thats all $aban and Harbaugh are ....mercs. They run their teams like NFL teams.

Les doesn't and the results show.
I can't defend it anymore. Its also impossible to deny that way too many fans are just tired of his brand of football.

I agree that for me too, it has never been wanting him gone, but rather never wanted him to begin with. Yes my family can't stand him, and our whole dinner will be about how we can help him move.

I'm not trying to troll or be mean or anything but i have always wanted to ask people with this opinion one question. What were your feelings towards Les in 2011? Did you think you were wrong or were you secretly hoping they would lose so you can say you were right?

Try to talk about something else, maybe religion or politics.

I'll answer

I was happy Les had assembled the talent on that team. I thought the coaching was great in JJ's absence.

However, when he returned, Les reverted and well the rest is history

To answer your question is first I thought I was maybe wrong about him. That he didn't back into the BSCNCG with 2 losses and the whole "have a nice day" deal. My bullshite meter dropped down a few notches.

Then that Spring came, and I met him and then and there I realized that he was "off". So I went back to zero confidence with bullshite meter pegged out again.

You asked. ...

EDIT - misread your question- 2011 I figured our Defense would carry us because I knew the light was on and nobody was home on Offense. If we had won on 1/9/12 I would have eaten my crow with a side of humility.

I ask because i didn't think Les should be fired as early as a few days ago. I have accepted that it will happen and still don't know if it is right, but if a new coach comes in I will not hope that he loses just so i can say i was right. I would gladly admit to being wrong. I feel the same could not be said about the Miles haters over the years. It seemed like even when he was winning they weren't happy and waited for one mistake and attacked.

My point exactly. Only LSU fans will discount a national championship because they don't like the coach that won it. Every team that won a national championship with a loss somehow "backed" into it. They had to hope that every other team in the country had a loss. i admit they needed a lot of breaks to get into the game, but i will not discredit nor apologize for my favorite team winning a championship ever.
