Fall Practice - Do more things go wrong then, or do we just have more anxiety?

Players getting injured, transfer news, fights, suspensions - it seems like Fall practice is the time when things go bad if they are going to go bad.

Tyrann Mathieu was kicked off the team during Fall practice. Jordan Jefferson was suspended for the fight. Other players have been kicked off. Injuries this year to Lacouture, Thompson, etc.

Is it worse during the Fall or do we just feel it more because we are holding our breath that nothing goes wrong?

If it is worse, why do we have more happen in the month of August than say, during Spring Camp or the summer or during the season?

Is this perception because of anxiety about the season, or does LSU really have problems with the month of August?

I honestly don't know. I'm asking the Rant's thoughts on this.

The real issue is that we go without real football for 8 months and the media restrictions dictate that good news can't really be reported on. So the only news is injury, attrition, and real news (arrests, etc).

The available information skews towards the negative but it doesn't mean it happens more in fall practice.

Good grief. What is wrong with you people?

Everyone is walking on egg shells around here. My point was that this could all be a lot of perception and not reality. But, every time I open up the Rant it is "everything is horrible!" I'm asking if that is real or if it is more perception.

You can just say "perception" and I'll be happy to hear it.

All these types of things happen all over the country. You pay attention to LSU more than any other team so you hear more news about them. Transfers in the fall are not uncommon. Injuries in practice happen everywhere. Arrests happen at other schools too.

When news becomes public out of the ops building, the actions were already in motion behind closed doors weeks ago.

Certainly, with all the problems in the last month, the team seems to be on the start of a potential freefall.

Problems the last month? 3 injuries during practice and a backup player at a stacked position that the offense doesn't even use a lot of different player is transferring.

You are just noticing it more right now. All of your examples prove you are trying to confirm this.
