Good stuff, Scuba. Not too surprised that the freshmen are struggling some, considering the caliber of pitching that they face. Also interesting to see Smith go 3 innings, makes me wonder if he's being considered as a starter/long reliever.
Saw the name and immediately thought of Mark. Any relation that you know of?

From what I have found out, He is not related to Mark. Bryce Laird is from Covington via Southwest Mississippi JC. He doesn't resemble Mark either at 5'10" and 180lb.

No scrimmage on Saturday or Sunday. There's one at 4:00 tomorrow, but the next one after that won't be until Monday at least.

Scuba how does Reid look like at ss? From the looks of it he know how to get on base. I know he's only about 5'10 how is his range/arm?

In the scrimmages I have seen, he looks good. He's able to make all the routine plays and he made one outstanding play, that I recall. He seems to be a pitch magnet, also.

Ducote will hit, he always has. The worst thing the coaches could do is bench him. Top 3 batting avg on team when all said in done.
