Cabrera with two-way potential?

Also, Petersen coming in for Peterson in a game should be interesting

Hughes has some good, quick hands.

Webre’s double was oppo off the wall (although with the wind)

Doolittle does not look like a freshman at all. Big kid. Obviously has power. Needs some work behind the plate with agility and softer hands.

Cabrera is the real deal. Day 1 starter and he’s going to have to pitch. Not dominate with power but locates and the changeup will get anyone out.

Hess has elite movement on his fastball and slider. That change still needs work. He can’t control it and it’s 85 mph. Was hoping it would be better coming back from the summer.

If Cabrera is used primarily as a pitcher, I could see Webre as the starting left fielder. There seems to be a few players that can hit on this team that will not start in the field. DH could be platooned possibly.

Is he a legit contender for the 1st base spot? Or was he just there to hold a spot today?

CPM has been rotating Webre and Templet between 1st and the outfield. Webre played LF scrimmage #1 and RF scrimmage #2 and 1st the last three.

I can’t see Cabrera used primarily as a pitcher. He’s far too talented at the plate and defensively. I see him playing every day and coming in for situational outs on the bump on weekends and/or eating up week game innings. He’s gonna be special.
