Pearson hasn’t left 2nd all fall.

I think Jay is trying to say something.

Milazzo with a bomb! I mean is Jay Johnson not the best hitting coach in the game fellas.

Pearson played either LF or RF the first 10 scrimmages this fall. He moved to 2nd base for the next 3 after Kling went back to the outfield.

Definitely considering Pearson and Kling at 2B, with how deep the OF is. Jay has to figure out how to balance the depth yet inexperience at several positions. Personally, I think Milam starts at 2B...in an early hot take prediction.

Milam has played 2nd base in every scrimmage this fall. I think Jay wants him to be the starter this spring in spite of his 5 errors.

Is Brown a better defensive OF than Frey? I know he played Of at Sulphur, not sure if Frey did in high school or not.

Yep, that's where I'm going with it. Milam hasn't hit or fielded well. In fact, Jay has flat out not even hit him in some scrimmages. Seems like Milam at 2B is what he wants. He's an electric player. Pearson/Kling are a backup plan/option. Other young guys are starting to flash, though. Alot of time left to figure it out.

Frey will be patrolling the OF. His bat will come along. That swing is a thing of beauty and he has pop.

Brown can do whatever they ask of him. Pitch, 1B, OF, or all of them. Frey was more of a pitcher/catcher/corner infielder in high school. QB on the football team. Frey is a great athlete, needs some refinement in all aspects on the baseball field, but Brown is a Team USA baseball guy.

Scuba

Where can I find a current Fall 2023 roster? The one on the LSU website appears to be missing some players.

It might just be me. I’m watching today’s scrimmage and I thought there was a player not on the roster at lsusports.

Sometimes non roster walk ons or managers fill in, but that’s been uncommon under Johnson. We’ve carried bigger rosters since he got here.

Thanks Project.

I try to come to 3-4 scrimmages in the Fall and most of them in the Spring. Was hoping to see Primeaux pitch but they’re done.

Getting a LHH on the infield outside 1B is a huge deal. I coukd definitely see Pearson being out 2B all season if he has any aptitude for it.
