The BCS IS about matching the two best teams in the country...It is NOT about matching what the country may or may not want to see.

As much as I didn't want to meet 'Bama again, it is obvious LSU and 'Bama are to two best teams in the US. If not 'Bama, then who?

If you can't tell that Miles is just being polite and speaking in coach speak regarding a fellow conference member, then I don't know what to tell you. Is he supposed to say, "Anyone but Bama" and have to listen to reporter after reporter ask him why he is afraid to play Bama?

LSU doesn't care who we play. We are battle tested this year and won't be afraid to line up vs. anyone but you make a curious arguement.

You say...
quote:

It is not fair to allow Bama to sit at home and not risk playing again, never mind they did not win their Conference, or even their Division.

Then you say...
quote:

The country will never know however if Vir Tech, Stanford, or Okie State is better then Bama.

Did Stanford win their division? What time is the Pac12 championship game they are playing?

I'd love to see LSU play Stanford or any other such soft team in the BCS champ game. Easy road = new crystal for the cabinet.

Oh well, we get to see another slugfest with a great SEC team for all the marbles? Do I give a shite what some pussy arse no-defense Pac12 football fan thinks? Hell no.

Imagine for a moment Oregon and Stanford being voted to play for the title. How would you all feel if that occurred?

Oregon? No thanks. Beat em'. Bad. They are in the same boat as Alabama.

I'll face Stanford. We'll destroy them, but I'll take it.

Those who live on the west coast are given to delusional flights of feelings. Think CA and OR.

Really who the heck cares what the blogosphere "thinks". If they thought, they would acknowledge that maybe such a matchup is of the two best teams. No one knows for sure.

Back in 2007 he was working the media to swing votes to get LSU in the title game. And to do so he gave a maxim saying, "If a team cannot win their Conference they are not worthy to play in a BCS Title game."

Recently Les Miles has changed tunes and become a hypocrite in saying he would welcome facing Bama again for the title in a rematch. He has lost a lot of respect from many who remember him saying that maxim but now being a hypocrite...

The frick? How is he being a hypocrite?
1) He didnt even address the winning the conference issue.
2) People are allowed to change their opinions
3) Hypocrisy is saying something and doing something else
4) If Miles says otherwise, he is labeled scared and a pussy so it is a catch 22

Get real

besides his obvious crack smoking ways, he's right on many key points.

bama is de facto NOT the best team in the country, they should be eliminated from the discussion. 9-6 at home. next.

many are going to regret the day when we are subjected to year after year of USC vs. whoever is lucky enough to play them ... wait for Neb/OK/Mich/tOSU to come roaring back and see where our 1 loss SEC champ sits in the pecking order ... perhaps behind a team USC already beat.

rematch is a bad precedent to set.

If Les says he doesn't want bama again then he is scared. If he says he does hes a hypocrite. Yall really need to give up the asinine reasons to hate the man. Its called coach speak and every coach in the country uses it.

Les Miles is NOT being hypocritical. He's only said that he'd 'be honored to play bama again'; and he only said this in response to media questions.

This also does not mean that he thinks bama deserves to be there any more than another team.

So GFY. Neither Les, nor any LSU fans have any say over what ends up happening.

I firmly believe bama is the #2 team, and frankly I would love for the tigers to play any other team because they would absolutely trash them. Bama, IMO, is the only team that has any shot in hell. But then again, that's IMO.

But I also agree with you. Bama has had their chance and without a playoff, someone else should have a shot

BS!! I'm living in Big 10 country and my football fan friends make no bones about it...the two best teams should play...and they feel that that is LSU and Bammer.

Well, the objective portion of the BCS has Okie State as the most deserving one loss team. Perception and Bama/Saban's status as media favorites are the only reason they're ahead in the BCS.
