How many of you will be taking an extended lunch break to watch LSU basketball vs. Wichita State on ESPN2 on Wednesday?

Anxious to see Craig Victor and Duop Reath on the floor together. Reath's work ethic reminds me of former Tiger Jamie Llordea. I think they will be a good combo down the stretch this year. Wichita State always fields a very competitive team.

Early prediction Tigers 73 Wichita State 68.

I'll be traveling down to Tampa from Atlanta that day.

Honestly think we get waxed badly by a good Wichita State team./ They've been destroying everyone so far on their schedule while we have looked, meh at best. They have an incredibly deep tall team (6 players 6'8 or taller). This one is going to be really really tough to win. Certainly hope we can pull it out as it would be a big quality win.

My head prediction:
Wichita State 77
LSU 63

I will probably head to Hooters for the game and watch it completely. Hoping to get a better read on this team now that their talent alone probably won't get them the win. Hopefully Missing a few games won't hurt Victor's chemistry with the team

I won't say we get waxed. Because at times we look fluent. Hopefully Victor keeps us in it and either tone or Sampson gets us to the promise land

Victor is definitely the wild card in this one. If he plays and doesnt miss a beat, I think we have a chance, I just think even with him he'll be a bit rusty, our big men will get into foul trouble and Wichita's depth will overwhelm us.

Good news is in game 2 we probably play Old Dominion and that's a very winnable game for us. In fact we should be favored in that one. It's another short team we can just dominate on the glass and inside.

LSU has enough individual talent to beat a team like WSU. Assuming Victor plays, LSU's starting 5 will have four 4* and above recruits in the line up. Reath would be the only non-nationally ranked recruit, and he's been LSU's best player thus far.

The divide is that WSU is just a better TEAM and better coached team. The sum of the whole is better than the individual parts for them. The opposite is true for LSU. Still, when you have players, you have a shot. And LSU has some players. I'm not expecting them to put it all together on Wed., but if they do, a win is not out of the question.

Wichita State is a very good, deep team with good overall height. I think if we are fired up and hit some early three's we can hang with them in the first half but they will wear us down in the second half and pull away. Of course if we can get Blakeney to play like he did against Southern Miss and Reath the way he did against Wofford and Sampson like he did last game we could win. But it will take exactly that. Everyone on top of their game and playing their best. Defense has to improve as we all know.

What's AXS TV. Is that offered through Cox or is there a way to stream the games that will be played on that channel? I'd like to watch the Louisville vs ODU tomorrow night.

I will be at the game. I am currently infiltrating the Coral kitchen following through on my food poisoning plan. It's our only chance. Will keep you posted.
