Well, I know y'all are not happy with the actual game, but what you the game day experience?

There was a lot a talk about how hard the cops were on open container and inside the stadium. Did anyone have issues?

I hope y'all had a good time during the day. One of the tailgates that I spent time at was 1/2 gators and 1/2 tigers. Everyone was have a great time.

I also hope you guys don't win the West because I want no part in playing you again in Atlanta (if we are so fortunate).

the gainesville police easily make a UF road trip one of the worst in the SEC for visiting fans IMO

tailgating- sucks. I felt like I was ar MSU-LSU game a few weeks ago, except more boring.

fans- a few nice ones, but I must have ran into the bad apples. For the most part, the fans were just pompous and snooty. We had a lot itry and f*ck with us at our Orlando chapter party, but most just came to try our food. Oh, and 2 bits is gay.

stadium- it was loud, but no louder than tiger stadium. I felt it would be louder if you guys filled that void in that endzone. I didn't like all the music being played in the stadium throughout the game.

I'd say it's one of the better places I've visited, but not better than LSU, Bama, or Auburn.

good luck. I don't wan to see you guys in Atlanta.

Tailgating SUCKED arse. So did paying $20 to park in a field. By far my worst tailgating experience ever. I had more fun tailgating for a BYU vs FSU game a few years back...

I'm NEVER wasting my time going back to the Swamp...

university isn't that bad but i don't like spending gameday in and out of bars all day

now, if i knew someone who lived in the neighborhoods around campus i might have enjoyed it more. at least at someones house the influence of the police is extremely limited.

I'm not a fan of the music either. That shite started only a year or two ago. Feels "Area football" to me.

2 bits - It's kinda hard to explain. He's pretty old now and only does the pre-game thing. In years past, he would work his way around the stadium hitting every section. You'd be sitting there during a TV time out and hear the whistle. Everyone within earshot would join in. It's just tradition. He also it embodiment of unconditional support for your team. He started doing the cheer in the 40's after hearing the fans boo the players. He could not believe that adults would boo kids trying their best. 2-bits was the only cheer he knew so he started doing it. It's a lesson a lot of us (college football fans) should learn.

We stayed with Florida's Delta Chi chapter. They were all great people and didnt have anything negative to say. Outside of that Florida's tailgating is a joke and their band is probally the worst band I have ever seen.

What I wrote earlier

quote:

Yea, the only thing good about the swamp is there are no nosebleeds.

Their tailgating sucks. I swear...we parked by the frat houses and the people tailgating werent playing to music, wasnt drinking, hardly cooking, and barely talking. I was shocked. They look bored as hell. (these werent frats thou, I didnt see them). They were only playing beanbags and shite...then you had cops on bikes smelling your drinks everywhere. WORST gameday atmosphere in the SEC. Maybe the nation behind ASU. I didn see people having fun across the street from the stadium, I guess thats not "campus"

Campus is really spread out. Thats why all students have mopads. Thats the only way you're going to get around.

We had a good time tailgating and didn't deal with any bad fans then. This all changed once we made it into the stadium.

UF fans around us were absolute trash, had ZERO football knowledge and only got worse as the game went on. I know LSU fans can be bad as well, but the entire section was awful and it was from college aged kids to 50+ year old men.

The walk back to the car was alright other than a few fratboys that started talking trash to me. I understand they without a doubt have tiny dicks and have to make themselves feel bigger by talking trash when they have 20 of their friends with them.

Hey UF fans,

I was suprised at how terrible yalls Stadium Etiquette was. It was alright outside the stadium, but when we got in yall were pretty bad. I heard fans yelling at our injured players to stay on the ground, I saw a Gator fan curse out a little kid, and just some real bad stuff said to some ladies. I felt like the tailgating was very, very sub-par. The noise wasn't as loud as I expected at all. Sorry we couldn't give yall a better game.

We had a really good time. I will agree that the tailgating was weak, but I had never spent the entire day in bars before so it made it unique. Also, the Fla fans in the bars were great. I wasnt given a hard time until during and after the game. Of course the game was a bummer...stadium atmosphere was good. I think at its loudest point, it was louder than Alabama and Auburn. Loved the moss. Unfortunately, the Gainesville police were simply awful. I enjoyed the trip, but will not go back due to unnecessary tasoring, tackling, and abuse. I witnessed and heard some really terrible incidences...maybe they will have fun scraping the "forever LSU" stickers the students put all over the stadium

Definately the worst tailgating I have ever seen. The cops are pricks and there are no
port a lets, you have to go into a business to piss.

Before the game, we partied with some real nice people. At the game, they had at least 15 Florida fans removed from the game for being jackasses. They were even picking on little kids.

I will 100% scratch Gainesville off my annual road trips.

It's disappointing to hear about these negative experiences. Hopefully, they were the minority.
