It was so hard to work up fake confidence in the last few years. The confidence is valid again, and it feels so good to be able to circle Nov 5 on the calendar and to march forward believing we have a very valid chance to beat the elephant team.

Thanks, Coach O. The positive energy is very welcomed.

Loving this new lease on Tiger life.

We shouldn't have lost this many in a row to them, that was because of Les Miles- running right into Bama's strength, year after year after year.
Doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results is how Einstein defined insanity.

We had the chance in 2012 and 2014 and let them off the hook both times.

Just read several of your posts. Good job with all the down votes and for being an idiot.

You're a lying or delusional MFer if you didn't think we had a chance to beat Bama each of the past few years.

The chances were there, but there was not a true level of confidence that currently exists.

Alabama escaped by the skin of there teeth in 12 and 14, not sure how I feel this year . On paper 22 vs 22 I like our chances , but special teams and depth bama has a very real advantage . LSU really needs to refine punting , place kicking , punt and kick coverage because there could lie the difference between a W and L.

Yup. We've outplayed them but couldn't close at home due to 3rd n chavis and bad ST's play. Miles playing scared when Mett was on fire and he wouldn't go for it on 4th n 2 cost us too even though chavis can't stop anyone late in a game. (Trend still alive at a&m).. We should be goin for a shot to even the series with bama up 3-2 n last 5 yrs. but we're not so it's time to get the win next sat and end the streak

LSU has had talent but not a coach willing to properly use that talent

I don't think we'll beat them. I do believe we have a better shot though than with Miles and Cameron though.

Alabama's defense is unreal and I'm just not confident enough in the offensive line and Etling to beat them. We're going to have to force a few turnovers and play unreal special teams to flip the script.

That all said, I'm at least excited about LSU football again. I'm looking forward to a competitive game.

I agree but, imo, all of these losses are not because of Miles. Everyone is so eager to pile on Miles that they are forgetting that some of the losses are on 3rd and Chavis. Someone mentioned 2012? rushing = 139 yards and passing = 296 yards and lost on Bama's last drive when they drove 72 yards in 43 seconds. They had 1 incomplete pass and nothing else shorter than 11 yards in that drive since we played so soft. 2014? Even with low offensive production, We had them on the ropes with 50 seconds left and let them pass their way to the tie at the end of regulation. Then, we lost this in OT because Jennings could not complete a pass in 4 downs. We have had issues in games against them with our running game but not all of the games were due to Miles being stubborn and running right at them.

Have you seen LSU's punting stats lately?

42.6 yards average is pretty damn good
