Evidence that Orgeron had been preselected even before Jimbo

Something I haven't seen mentioned yet is F.King's sudden change of narrative (by his actions).
Remember when F.King publicly said in 2015 that LSU was "broke" and didn't want to shell out a $9m buyout?
Then last year he authorized Alleva to give Orgeron a $12m buyout.
The good ole boy club had to at least make it look like they were going after an elite coach, but it was all window dressing.
Low balling Jimbo and balking at his counter, then making it look like they wanted Herman...all pre-planned window dressing.
O was their guy all along. It's the only thing that makes sense.

I don't understand the 12mil buyout for Coach O. I just don't understand giving away leverage in that coaching situation. Is there a thread about why he was able to get this in his contract? Or can someone shed some light for me?

to be fair you have to give a coach 4 years or so. that's the buyout. it reduces, i'm sure.

No. The good ole boy club had a come to Jesus meeting with F. King. They made it known that they didn't want someone who was only temporarily invested in LSU (King) making a long term decision.
Alleva then cocked up the hiring process.

Most of the candidates for the LSU head coaching job wanted the money Tom Herman for example and he lost to Maryland nobody want that heat competition of playing the elite SEC teams
