Everyone... ALL FANS of college football... should support the billboards and white out

I’m tired of people calling them stupid and pointless.
Does it get White on the field sooner? No. But that’s not the point. It brings attention to a bad rule that has zero consistentency. More attention and coverage means the ncaa has to review it. Media won’t cover it unless it knows it has an audience. So we have to make noise. We have to show displeasure. We (football fans) have to support the things that shine a light on shitty rules like this.
Yes, this is an LSU movement, but it’s not a problem singular to LSU. Support the white out even if you think the premise is stupid because the ultimate goal isn’t.

If that’s all you got out of the OP, STTDB.

This is what you call moving the goal posts.
I completely agree with you about the rule itself, but these billboards were never about some movement to overhaul the rule. They're 100% an LSU specific thing, and they're 100% an effort to actually "free White."

Wrong, it’s about the SEC and Alabama!,

I don’t think most of the people donating thought it would actually work. It just made them feel good about a cause they cared about. An injustice as a result of either bad officiating solely or bad officiating enabled by a bad rule. Either way, the purpose it serves is getting the rule changed/updated. And my OP is about people supporting it regardless of the message at face value. So I’m not moving any goalposts.

No Slackster...They were not 100% LSU specificfrom what I read over the past 2 days.... We all know that the SEC said No to any appeals. This is a movement to get national attention about a huge wrong that may well have been purposeful, and perhaps a change in the way games are officiated, and the way the SEC is run, which will hopefully stop us from dealing with this in every Bama game in the future...

I donated to the billboards knowing that without a doubt they’d have no affect on DW’s eligibility.
Reasons i donated:
1) to support DW (knowing he’s still suspended)
2) to bring light to this stupid rule
3) to trigger bama fans
4) as a frick you to the SEC
5) just to see if we could do it
Like it or not, DW is probably out of the news cycle today without our billboard stunt. Now this BS rule has been publicized by the national media.
DW got fricked by this rule but maybe we can save the next guy. Maybe they will put an official appeals process in the rules for next season. Maybe they won’t. But doing something feels better than doing nothing.

exactly 0 people actually thought the billboards would get White freed
I guess it's all in how you look at it, but to me(and I think a lot of others) it was simply an attempt to draw focus to the issue...bad call and bad rule
Eta-I am not in on the conspiracy theories, but I think the rule should be reviewed in much more detail

I donated to show support for a Tiger great, Devin White. Dude's got to be feeling low right now, and anything Tiger Nation can do to show support for him (without committing some sort of NCAA Violation which we probably somehow did), then I am all for it

Hell no stupid. Money wasted for a lost call. Descison was made live with it move on
Posted on 10/24/18 at 7:18 am to ell_13
So our entire fan base looks like alabama’s Pussy little brother? Nah I’m good.

Again - anyone wo an agenda knows that call was wrong . Period
Now it's easy to determine who has an agenda

Teams, fans, coaches, media, players,ADs etc all know Bama gets the calls & gets the brakes.
Stop acting like this is new information.
Stop acting like LSU is the only team to get screwed by refs favoring Bama.
Stop acting like the SEC office isn't aware of complaints. They are aware, they don't care.
But the Billboard Babes look like a bunch of put upon pathetic whiney idiots.
Buck up, stop pouting & making yourself look like a spoiled brat who didn't get his way.
