For the millionth time, this needs to be addressed to South Carolina. They set prices this week.

Completely their right...no doubt.

That being said, they need to shut the frick up from here on out about their inability to get tickets to games...because it sounds like they never really had any interest in being at a game, just complaining about not being there.

These posts are old, so you supposedly want to complain about supposed prior complainers, to what purpose? I have never complained about game tickets and we had tickets > 60 years in the family, etc and have no problems paying for tickets. I just got off a 1,600 mile drive and have zero intention of traveling anywhere to see a game this weekend - flying, driving, whatevs. The condescension you and others are spewing is greatly misplaced. If I want to contribute to aid efforts for SC I will, but it doesn't have anything to do with buying football tickets which I won't use.

I like to beat the halftime crowd. I usually leave midway the 2nd quarter.

How many of these events can you watch from the comfort of your own living room on a giant HD television screen?

So in that case, why does anyone ever attend a LSU home game?

I've never once heard anyone complaining about not being able to get tickets due to lack of availability, outside of big top 10 SEC matchups.

Equally as baffling are the ones who come here like they are leading a 2 bit cheer and are going to magically convince grownups to go to the game... like their post is going to make any difference at all

Some season ticket holders only come to one game a year. They either came for auburn or going next weekend.

I would go to this game if it was at 11, had prior arrangements.

First, buying a football ticket is never, under any circumstances, a need for a person- it is a want 100% of the time.

Which is exactly what I said, idiot.

Which is exactly the case for current season tickets...which is why they nearly sell the stadium out each year to only season ticket holder. If the day ever comes that the prices rises beyond that which can continue to fill the stadium, all this grousing will have a point. Until then, it's fricking whiny nonsense.

Not to mention, there are PLENTY of seats in TS with ZERO donations attached to them. Again...if you can't pay for the current face value of college football tickets, then fine...lots of people can;t, and before I bought mine I could not either. At that point, you need to quit worrying about your wants and focus on your needs...but suggesting the price ought to reflect the desire of those less fortunate to be able to afford them is nonsense...whether we're talking about tickets to a football game or the price of a sports car.

LSU fans love to pride themselves on being the best fans in the country and having the best home field advantage in the country, and we can't sell more than 40,000 seats for an extra home game?

1/2 of the "LSU fanbase" is a bunch of posers.

most LSU fans are worried about jambalaya and Abita than the actual game. We dont have the best fans in the country. I really couldn't care less about that though. I care about having the best team

I am of the last of the mohicans........one who loves the game, the game within the game, and the outcome of the game.

I went down my list of friends and tried pretty hard to get a gang of 4 together to join me in the Stadium Club. Man, I couldn't do it. I was shocked that every single person has something going on this weekend.

At this point I can only assume there is a desire to be willfully ignorant of the point that was being made in the OP. No one could be this obtuse unless on purpose.

One more time...a few days notice is certainly a legit reason to not be able to attend, most especially for those of us who have season tickets. We already plan our weekends around home games, so those weekends where there was a scheduled road game are almost always taken.

Can I say that any more clearly?

What IS NOT OK is for the usual suspects of non season ticket holders to start bitching about the price, or the heat, or the opposition team, etc. this same groups grouses non stop about how they've been priced out by the "big money" guys, which is total horseshite. My seats have ZERO donations attached to them...only face, and if face value has priced anyone out, then attending sporting events outside of high school events are going to be too expensive all around. That's less an LSU issue than it is with the cost of living in 2015.

This is/was an opportunity for non season ticket holders to grab a great seat if they wanted. Instead, MANY (not all) have proceeded to bitch that he tickets aren't cheap enough...or the weather isn't cool enough...or the team LSU is playing isn't good enough...

I bet if this happened to the Alabama game, the "real fans" would find a way to not be sooooo busy and have soooo many plans.

You're trying to whine like a bitch about being the victim of other whining for the regular home scenario- this is not a regular home game scenario.

Don't you ever...EVER, question my fandom. I've been on this site for longer than you, and I can assure you I have likely been following LSU athletics far longer than you have as well.

When I go to a football game I go to support my Tigers. It is considered a privilege rather than an afterthought, as is the case for the children of many season ticket holders and these bandwagon students who are more enthralled by cheers and chants than the play on the field.

I grew up a Tiger. I graduated as a Tiger. And I am employed as Tiger.

Football is a year-round sport for me and my family.

But good job assessing how invested I am in this team and this university just because I don't want to pay $40 to go to a game. If I was fortunate enough to possess the finances to purchase a ticket at that price without a second thought, you'd bet your sweet arse I would be there Saturday.

Claiming that I am not a "die-hard tiger fan" is about the most ignorant thing you could possibly do.

But hey, thanks for your input and your opinion. I'm glad you have my interests and passion all figured out.

You do understand that there is a strong possibility that these people who "need to shut the frick up" most likely made other plans based on the fact that this game was scheduled to be almost an 11 hour drive away right?
