9-9 or worse in the SEC, on the bubble and waiting for the last moment to see if we get into the NIT.

What do I win?

This.

I understand that losing home games against bad teams is not in the plan but also I know what this team is capable of. We. Should have one by 20 yesterday but bonehead plays killed us. Think about this we beat a ole miss team that this board predicted us to lose by 15 at ole miss where we had never won in years. Every game we lost has been close so even though we have tough road games they will be real winnable. JJ has to take control of the team and stop giving them so much freedom. Now some of the shots they took was uncontested shots but I don't agree with shooting it 10 seconds into the shot clock when you are trying to close out a game. We missing that killer instinct. When we have our opponent down we relax instead of stepping on their neck and finish them off.

Common theme in every game this season. EVERY GAME. Even the ones we win.

This hasn't changed after almost 20 games.

Again, common theme, which is lack of awareness.

This too hasn't changed in nearly 20 games.

LSU will be up for KY and will play them close. The problem is the other teams on the schedule that they won't get up for.

I just feel like half of you don't have a clue how SEC basketball works. It doesnt fresking matter if other teams are struggling. the NCAA will only put 2 teams in tourney if they have to.

This is correct. The SEC was down last year and seems to be down again this year. We're not going to get many Dance bids this year as a conference, so if LSU wants one, we need to have a very good record with some good wins and minimal bad losses.

Starting 2-2 (and not against the stronger teams) is bad. Our margin for error just got a lot smaller.

The SEC is much improved from PY rpi rankings show that. Again, of the 4 teams we played in the SEC, 3 of them are in the top 50 RPI. Calm down you uninformed counts.

SEC was ranked third overall in conference RPI after OOC games, best they've been in years.

Yea. The problem with LSU having some success in basketball is you get a lot of uninformed posters going melt on TD.

will go down, way down

tourney starts today? no

long term, this loss at HOME to a team that won't sniff a tourney bid is a BAD loss. So where can someone get "good shape" out of that?

I do think some of the concern is warranted. We've only played 4 games and we've already had what in all probability will be considered two bad losses at the end of the year.

There are 14 games left, and IMHO we need to go at worst 9-5 the rest of the year to get in the dance.

Can we do that, sure we can. But some things need to change. And all we have to go on to predict the future is what we've seen so far, which is not good enough.

Up to CJJ to effect that change.

of course it is. Yesterday was a game LSU cannot just piss away. and in reality, thats what they did

Im not giving up on them but any means, but games like yesterday are the ones that could haunt this team at the end of the season.

I'll forgive Mizzou in a way since it was on the road. But IMO you can't just give away home games to mediocre to avg teams

True. Also depends on who the wins/losses are to.

We can't lose to teams like Vandy/Moo State/Auburn.

Also, it would be nice if West Virginia could win some big games, blow out loss to Texas don't help.

Right now we have one bad loss, Mizzou. Clemson has improved their RPI, thankfully.

The A&M loss was worse than the Mizzou loss IMO. This team really has no excuse for losing at home to a team like A&M. They are just too inconsistent right now to feel confident about March. Hopefully, they will get it together soon.
