Even with our amazing 2014 recruiting class

I just don't see us winning a NC anytime soon. We might as well accept being a 2 loss team every year.

What's "amazing" about the 2014 recruiting class? Currently ranked about 12th or so on recruiting boards... no running backs recruited in last 2-3 years, etc.

I'm not amazed by this defensive class we have now. They need to improve as the season goes on and I'm not seeing it. No playmakers. No pass rush, LBs nowhere to be found, DBs inconsistent. We can't make a play to stop on 3rd down! Not sure if that is the coach's calls not allowing them to make plays. I realize we're young and inexperienced, but SEC coaches seem to have our number in game-planning against our D.

If we don't get Fournette the only backs on the roster next year will be Magee, Sione Palelei (coming off ACL tear), and whoever else we can get in the last month before signing day.
ETA: Maybe Brazil too

Been that way for a few years now and it's catching up to us. Our defense would be a little better if we had Collins at S and Devall at LB. We basically have no recruiter for NE Louisiana, that is now Alabama territory.

Really?
Hootie has been to more LSU games/events than you can count. shite, the guy even came to the kent state game on his own dime when he could have gone to the bama-a&m game. You think he isn't coming to LSU? think again

He's going to Bama 3 straight weeks right before he commits, he's gone. We probably led at one point but our coaching staff is lazy on the recruiting trail.

You don't seem to realize the gravity of the situation!! We are endangered of losing 7/10 of Louisiana's top prospects.
This year we are going to get raided for our best talent.

and again... why would Fournette want to go to a school with no OL, no QB, no other running backs to share the load? This would virtually insure injury from overwork against man-sized SEC defenses, weak stats limiting pro evaluation. He' gone... probably to Michigan though.

Ive been doom and gloom ever since last night but no way we are losing 7 out of the top 10 recruits in the state.
