Etling could be better than Haris and our coaching staff would not have seen it. I think this could be possible because our coaching staff is simply not good at judging qb talent.

I can already tell you that Etling is a better in game qb than Harris. I saw that after 3 plays.

Absolutely stupid

Our coaching staff doesn't coach them up or play to their strengths

lol judging talent. Herman wanted Harris at Ohio St.. he'd be a better "talent" with a different offensive coach

Bs. Harris wowed a ton of coaches and players with his arm talent and athleticism. He's just struggling above the shoulders. He just buckles under pressure

It looks more to me like his confidence was destroyed by poor coaching. He started out pretty well and got progressively less confident and less effective. What else would cause that?

Maybe, maybe not. Judging quarterbacks is the hardest thing in the business. Who saw Brady and Brees coming? People with livelihoods and hundreds of millions of dollars depending on it end up with spectacular busts over and over at the professional level, and that's after a much larger body of work to judge from.

Sure, coaching and the system can help, but the most important quality is the IT factor, which they talk about a lot at the elite 11. The ability to lead, perform, and deliver in a live hostile environment. Sure, a wide receiver's measurables usually translate to at least something on the field, but the most important "measurable" for a quarterback lies between his ears. In many ways, it's as much luck and instinct as smarts when it comes to evaluating quarterback talent. And then after that, you have to actually land them, keep them, and hopefully they don't get hurt or do something really dumb along the way.

I must admit though, except for Mett, we've been extremely unlucky in that respect as of late.

Someone close to the team at his HS warned me when he committed about his mentality. Go back to his HS state title game vs real D talent and many times last few years he struggles in big moments. Just watch big moments n games. No i don't think it's all coaching. Cam can teach mechanics. 13 years n NFL there no way he doesn't know basics. All this wrong system is bs. In a spread concept u must make short quick throws and reads. He struggles with basic one read option. In HS he could toss it up. He can't do that anymore but he still reverts to that under pressure. Hope I'm wrong but I don't think he is good enough

No Miles is a poor coach and needs to GRFO it's the only way LSU will win big again.
