I would love for them to make it but it’s very unlikely. My best hope is two wins but even that is likely a stretch.

No Wade did make the NCAA and we didn’t, there’s no chest beating or rooting against LSU- you can watch the NIT on Tuesday - the real tournament doesn’t start til Thursday.

Vitale likes Sanford because Kansas is banged up and James Madison beat Mich St a power 5 who is also in the tournament. I don’t get the McNeese thing. Would love to see it but they haven’t beaten anyone worth a crap other than the worst team in the Big 10. They have dominated the worst conference in the country and have one of the weakest SOS in the country. Not sure how that prepares you for the tournament. Gonzaga is not the usual Gonzaga it I don’t see them going further than that.

Vitale loves Will Wade because he’s just a cute story at McNeese that really isn’t a threat to anyone.
He hated him at LSU because he was getting recruits to LSU he shouldn’t be getting and his buddy Dale Brown didn’t like him. It was all an act he didn’t actually give a shite about the NCAA violations

The only year he technically coached and was present on the bench was the year we were an 8 seed and had a good not great showing, won first game lost to 1 seed. The other years he was not actually coaching and there were distracting scandals going on with hit pieces released at tournament time, which I’m sure were significant factors in how the team performed.
There’s things you can be critical of Wade, but tournament record/performance isn’t one of them. He coached in one NCAA tourney at LSU.

Wade couldn’t pass the sweet 16 while cheating at LSU. He won’t have his wife’s checkbook this time and it’s laughable to suggest that he hasn’t peaked out by just being in the tourney.

I’m no wade hater but he couldn’t get his talent at LSU very far in the tournament. He had way more talent here. They played one of the worst schedules ever and will likely lose round one.
